Hello, Thank your for your interest in our restaurant. We do have tables for 1 or 2 people. I would say this place is single friendly considering that the jazz music and the flowers are a good entertainement during your meal. Best regards,
JardÃn Nelson is a beautiful spot to visit in old Montreal where great flavours await, and hospitable staff is ready to greet you. I went there for Brunch, the atmosphere was inviting, the music was uplifting, the food was absolutely delicious (I recommend the ham omelette and salmon poached eggs—oh! And the maple coffee!!) and the attention was on point. First time ever trying it—Definitely visiting a second time when I’m in Montreal.
Definitely worth the long wait (50 minutes). Great food (had salmon pizza and cartie’ pasta and mango salad. Best pasta salad I’ve ever had! Great ambiance and well played jazz live performance.Very good service (after you’re finally sitting).
I just LOVED this place! From gorgeous garden to amazing food to great live jazz! Highly recommend!
Delicious crepes of all kinds, both sweet & savoury...We have tried many of them and they're never a let down! Loved the ceviche!!! The wait is worth it as it's one of a kind food in this area. Beautiful garden seating out back, often has live music (jazz) or there is a great patio out front to people watch.
We stopped in here for dinner last May as we were traveling through the area during our 3 month tour of wonderful Canada. We couldn't have been more happy. Our server, was attentive, courteous and friendly. We ordered a Crepe Femiore, a Poke au Thon and a Fut Matante. Everything was awesome. Our total bill came to $ 68 CAD ($ 52 USD).
This is typically not the kind of place I go to: very big and touristy. The place however offers pleasant shaded outdoor seating and there was a jazz band playing during our visit. We had poke which were generously served and tasty. Service was friendly but a bit inattentive.
Amazing place! We were there during our visit in Montreal. Fantastic outdoor atmosphere with a great live jazz band. We enjoyed it so much we went for a second night in a row. Great music, and the food was amazing. Very reasonable prices. I highly recommend it. We were there on Friday and Saturday so the line up was a little long but worth the wait.
We just stopped for some sangria. The customer service was excellent ! , the waitress in a very courteous way asked if we spoke English or French, I speak both so I went for French. The sangria was great (they have several types) and the waitress was friendly and polite. I'll have to come back for the food, which has received very good reviews from friends.
A lovely place, delicious food and exquisite music. An excellent experience. The line actually moves pretty quick. The quaint alleyway filled with flowers and music make the wait fly by. The menu is comprehensive with a huge array of items. The price isn’t cheap but fully justified with the quality and experience.
We stumbled upon this little chic restaurant post fireworks show. Walking up the cobble stone street and checking out this restaurant were my fave parts of Montreal! Our server was wonderful and super helpful! We shared the lobster Mac and cheese and the diva crepe! The salad the diva crepe comes with was absolutely delicious! It was jazz festival weekend so we were surprised when the restaurant had their own little band playing!Did I mention this restaurant is outdoors with covering? And it is absolutely beautiful, I felt like I was in France.
Hands down my favorite spot in Montreal. One of my favorite restaurants in the world. I always get the crepes which are bar none the best. I’ve been coming here for 10+ years now and every time it does not disappoint. Nelson’s always has the best jazz trios, quartets, etc... they even played some of my older requests. Will always visit when I come to the city, and in the old square it’s surrounded by some of the most beautiful architecture. Please don’t miss out!
We came as a group of 6 adults and 4 kids. They were very accommodating with our strollers etc. The food and service were A++. Our server Kevin was beyond fatastic! Worth every penny! We happend to come on the last day before they closed for the season. Will be back when we come next year!
Don’t know where to start! From very professional staff to gorgeous garden to relaxing live jazz! Food is whole different topic! It is one of the most delicious restaurants I have ever been to! It was seven of us and I feel like every dish was made with so much special attention to the details. Rich flavor, generous portions! This place made my trip to Canada even more memorable! Next time I’m in Montreal I’m definitely visiting this place and ordering their shrimp tacos and salmon salad for sure!:) shout out to our server Matt, he was great!
Convenient location. Service was prompt and very accessible with just English. You can opt to sit in the front or in the back; we chose the latter. It was nice, calmer and even had a band. Our party of 3 had a caprese salad starter, the seafood crepe, a ham and cheese crepe kids plate, a roast pork sandwich and some drinks. Only when we ordered did the server bring out some bread and butter; had we known I might have omitted the caprese, though it was fresh, tasty and presented beautifully. The seafood crepe was well, fishy, which I suppose is to be expected, so the side salad cleansed the taste. The pork was sliced thinly to my pleasant surprise. Large portions, we all pretty much just ate half of our orders and brought our leftovers home to have as breakfast the next day and all still tasted good.
A perfect restaurant. In a wonderful location next to the old city area. A menu that is incredibly varied with an extremely wide choice of different foods from salads to crepes, seafood and even pizzas. Pages of drink selections with some unusual cocktail combinations. The restaurant is mostly in a three level outdoor courtyard, well shielded from the sun by large umbrellas.Live jazz music. Opens at 11.30 am but get there by 12.00 if you want a table. Good service.
This place was a perfect start to our trip to Montreal. The food was great, the wine was delicious and the overall ambiance of the restaurant is spectacular. There was such a great vibe with live music and our table was outside in the back patio garden area. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Great food and ambiance. Live music and a sunny day. The thin crust pizza was the better dish and I would recommend it.
I was not impressed with the food. The location, ambiance and our waiter were all great but the food was below average. The hamburger was not cooked enough, the beef tartar was tasteless and was made from a wrong cut of meat. It was very chewy! The cauliflower salad was good and generous.
My favourite spot to hang out and eat delicious crepes.
Amazing place . I came here in the summer and loved it. Always line up here but its moving fast - So many tables to sit. Big menu. Lots of options. I've had delicious lobster roll and Also tuna tartare . So gooood!
this place was fantastic. live band. inside is open air seating. we got there at 7. and had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. if you come any latter you will be waiting a lot longer. place was so packed. food was great. we had the duck and other dishes. it's a must go if you can swing it
The location is easy to access. The outdoor seating area is so fresh and filled with mixed flowers that gives you comfort to the eye.The service was nice, yet the place was crowded and long waiting queue. No reservation can be made. The food was good, we only had the below appetizers. If you were lucky the band will be playing music.
Discovered the place by curiosity when people always stop by to look on the inside of the restaurant. So glad to be able to experience the exquisite food and sweet music from the live band. If I were to come back here with friends or relatives, I recommend this place.
Food is good, I wouldn't say over the top. I dont think anyone will be disappointed. Sit in the back with the live jazz band . Order beverage of choice. Enjoy the ambience. It is worth every penny. I could have stayed all night
Third time here and I love it more and more each time! Service was wonderful and the jazz group was phenomenal! We all had crepes that were out of this world! We had the Florentine, Diva, and Nelson crepes! My friend had the french onion soup and we were all jealous and drooling, it looked sooo good! Will definitely be back again when in Montreal again!
Very cool spot. They had live music when I went (during the afternoon on weekend) which was entertaining. The food is good too. I liked their selection of refreshing beverages. They have a lot of options when it comes to food. Service was quick. The terrace in the back is where you want to be.
Absolutely LOVED this place. The food was amazing and there were so many choices on the menu. The live band was top notch and the ambiance throughout the entire restaurant was like nothing I have seen before! Would highly recommend.
We had an amazing desert with caramel! The staff are really friendly and nice. The atmosphere, music and patio are very relaxing.
Front of restaurant very unassuming, however, the jardin in the back is absolutely stunning. What a wonderful experience.Waitress was very nice and very helpful.Food tasted very good and ambiance was perfect.Live jazz music was perfect - not too loud.
